About Shari Woo:
Shari comes to KUOW with 22 years of broadcast media sales experience in television and commercial radio in Seattle. Most recently, she was at Comcast Spotlight where she represented over 50 cable TV networks, partnering with local business owners and ad agencies. Her radio sales experience includes selling a variety of music formats: rock, country, adult album alternative and oldies.
Shari grew up in Seattle and is a graduate of the University of Washington where she earned a B.A. in political science. After college, Shari spent some time advocating for decent, affordable housing for low–income residents of the International District. Shari continues to volunteer with a few nonprofit groups where she participates in fundraising efforts.
Shari has one daughter, a recent graduate of Western Washington University.
Mental therapy for Shari has included step aerobics, playing the piano and a variety of dance. She also enjoys downhill skiing and loves to garden.
Shari is a loyal listener of the station and is extremely excited to join the KUOW Underwriting staff. She is looking forward to building partnerships with local businesses and sharing the mission and value of KUOW.
