Joan EnticknapChair Community Volunteer Joan Enticknap retired from HomeStreet Bank in 2010 after nine years as president and chief operating officer. In addition to the KUOW Board, she serves on the University of Washington Business School Advisory board and the Washington State Major League Baseball Stadium Public Facilities District (PFD) Board. As a member of the PFD board, Joan was integrally involved in the building of Safeco Field. |
Judith EndejanVice Chair Shareholder in Graham & Dunn P.C. Judy Endejan has been a communications/telecommunications/media attorney for more than 20 years, serving in both an in–house capacity (associate general counsel for GTE Communications; general counsel for Fisher Communications) and in private practice. She graduated with a B.A. in journalism and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Judy lives on Queen Anne hill in Seattle with her teenage son, Matthew. |

Jon EastlakeTreasurer CFO, Delta Society Jon Eastlake began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers and subsequently has held senior financial positions in nonprofit organizations, including his current role as CFO of Delta Society. He has a M.S. in finance. |
Norm ArkansEx Officio Associate Vice President of Media Relations and Communications, University of Washington Norm Arkans has worked at the University of Washington since 1979 and overseen the University's media relations program since 1985. He was named to his present post of associate vice president of media relations and communications in 2004, having served as associate vice president and executive director of University Relations from 1993–2004, and as assistant vice president for University Relations from 1985–92. Mr. Arkans received his A.B. from Franklin and Marshall College and earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in English literature from UW, with a scholarly emphasis on Victorian literature. |
Katharine BarrettAnchor, Northwest Cable News Katharine Barrett is an Emmy award–winning broadcast journalist who spent two decades with CNN as a correspondent, anchor and producer covering business and financial news in New York, and more recently general news from the Northwest. She now anchors occasionally on Northwest Cable News. Katharine graduated from Princeton University with a degree in politics and Latin American studies. She and her three children live on the Eastside. |
Nelson DongPartner, Dorsey & Whitney LLP Nelson Dong represents technology companies in international business transactions and investments — particularly those involving US export control or national security issues — at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, an international law firm. Mr. Dong is on the Board of Directors of the National Committee on US–China Relations in New York City and was the 2010 President of the White House Fellows Foundation and Association, the alumni group of White House Fellows. A public radio listener since the 1970s and he is married to Diane Wong, a former journalist. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School and his A.B. from Stanford. |
Susan FeeneyPartner, GMMB Susan Feeney is a partner at GMMB, a political, issue and cause communications firm. She joined the Seattle office in 2010. Susan co–leads the firm's strategic communications work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on education reform and policy advocacy. Prior to joining GMMB, Susan was senior editor for NPR's "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition." She earned her bachelor's degree in journalism at Syracuse University. Susan lives in Seattle with her husband Steve Hirsh and two sons. |
Indranil GhoshDirector of Marketing, Premera Blue Cross Indranil Ghosh is the director of marketing at Premera Blue Cross, where he leads the advertising, branding, marketing communications, competitive intelligence and market research functions for Premera and its affiliate companies. Indranil received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in communication design with an emphasis on branding from Parsons School of Design in New York. An avid fan of public media, Indranil has experienced many "driveway moments" while listening to public radio. He lives in Seattle with his wife, two children and their retired racing greyhound. |
Christian HalliburtonAssociate Professor, Seattle University School of Law Christian Halliburton is an associate professor at Seattle University School of Law, where he teaches courses in criminal law, constitutional law, criminal procedure, and law and religion. After receiving his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, he spent several years in private firm practice before joining the faculty at Seattle University in 2002. In addition to his teaching and involvement in the Seattle University School of Law community, Christian is actively involved in the protection and pursuit of individual civil liberties as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington. |
Wier HarmanExecutive Director, Town Hall Seattle Wier Harman is the executive director of Town Hall Seattle, a position he has held since 2005. In the early 1990s, he directed plays and was marketing manager at Seattle's Annex Theatre. While at Actor's Express Theatre in Atlanta, Wier won Best Director and Best New Talent awards from the local press. In addition to his artistic work, he spent five years in commercial radio (as national sales manager of KMPS in the early 90s) and written Fodor's Travel Guides of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. A native of Virginia, Wier is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (1989) and studied directing at Yale School of Drama (1999). He is married to Barbara Sauermann. |
Chris HigashiChris Higashi is program manager of the Washington Center for the Book at The Seattle Public Library, where she has worked since 1992. She co–founded and directs Seattle Reads, the library's widely–emulated One Book program, coordinating an annual author residency, developing the series promotional materials and reader's guide, and working with community partners. Chris coordinates the annual Washington State Book Awards and the A. Scott Bullitt Lecture in American History, among other literary and humanities programming. She is a native of Seattle. She lives in the Madison Valley with her two cats and a houseful of books. |

Prior to joining Islandwood, Ben served as the executive director of Net Impact, a global organization of MBAs using the power of business to address social and environmental challenges. Ben serves on the board of Camp Galileo (a large set of children's day camps in the Bay Area, which he co–founded) and the board of the Bainbridge Japanese–American Exclusion Memorial. Ben holds an MBA and a Master's in Education from Stanford University. He lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife and two young sons. |

She is Board Chair of Earth Ministry, whose mission is to inspire and mobilize the Christian community to play a leadership role in building a just and sustainable future. She has more than 30 years experience in marketing and project management, including management and system analysis for Fortune 500 companies and the University of Chicago. Maryfrances is an enthusiastic supporter of NPR and a firm believer in its mission. She has an M.A. degree in library and information sciences from the University of Chicago. |

Prior to Front Seat, Mike spent six years as founder and CEO of All Star Directories, an INC 500–listed publisher of online and career school directories. During the 1990s, Mike was general manager of MSN.com and the MSN Search engine at Microsoft. He is a partner and former lead partner in Social Venture Partners, a leading venture philanthropy network. He holds a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in the history of science from Harvard University, and lives in Seattle with his wife and two kids. |

Before founding Meridan Capital, Scott spent five years with Talegen Holdings, a wholly–owned subsidiary of Xerox Corporation. In this capacity, Scott managed the treasury operations of the holding company and played a lead role in the management, reorganization and ultimate disposition of Xerox's financial services businesses and related subsidiaries to a series of foreign and domestic buyers. He holds a bachelor of science in business/computer science and an M.B.A. from Indiana University. |
Susan Ward PottsCommunity Volunteer Susan has been involved with numerous non–profit organizations over the past 20 years, including the UW Foundation, the Seattle Children's Museum, Intiman Theatre, Seattle Arts and Lectures, and the YMCA. Susan is the past president of The ARCS Foundation (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists). She has been active in small–town politics as well as a planning commissioner, city council member and mayor of Medina. |
Wayne Rothex officio President & General Manager, Puget Sound Public Radio Wayne Roth is the KUOW president and general manager. His public broadcasting career spans 40 years. He served on the board of National Public Radio and was chairman from 1988 to 1990. Mr. Roth is a co–founder and chairman of the board of the Station Resource Group, a national organization that provides leadership for public radio policy and development. He is a managing director of the Northwest News Network (N3). |
Allan SteinmanTax Principal, Bader Martin, P.S. Allan Steinman is a tax principal specializing in closely held private companies and their owners with Bader Martin, PS. He has assisted in the development and implementation of investment and endowment policies of various not–for–profit entities. Mr. Steinman is affiliated with the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, Kline Galland Center (secretary of the board and chairman of the Finance Committee), past president of Temple Beth El, and secretary/treasurer for the Home of Peace Cemetery Association.
