Should UW punish rowdy off campus student behavior?

Rowdy student parties have prompted neighbors to call for a stronger code of conduct for University of Washington students. They want the UW to take action against students who cause problems in the neighborhood. But is the University responsible for what its students do off campus? Is the University a surrogate parent? Are college students children? Would an employer be required to police what employees do off the job?

Also today, an eyewitness account of how Pakistan is recovering from the disastrous October earthquake that killed 75,000 people.

John Yeager communications officer with World Vision, an international Christian relief and development organization. He's currently in the Pakistan Himalayas, working with some of the people who have been displaced by the earthquake that took place there last year.
