Conservatize Me

10/05/2006 at 9:00 a.m.

After the 2004 election, KUOW's John Moe had big questions like: why can conservatives articulate their points so well? What exactly do liberals stand for? Most importantly he wondered; can a Seattle liberal turn conservative in just one month? To find out he embarked on a 30 day immersion in conservative culture and media. Did he come out a changed man? Was he able to cross the great political divide?

John Moe is locally known as the host and producer of KUOW's Tuesday evening show The Works as well as being a regular contributor to The Beat. Nationally he is a commentator for NPR's All Things Considered and Weekend America. Humor fans recognize his writing from and several humor anthologies. His first book is called Conservatize Me: How I Tried to Become a Righty with the Help of Richard Nixon, Sean Hannity, Toby Keith, and Beef Jerky.
