Megan Sukys/Dave Beck

Seattle has a long history of new money. Today, we visit the city's first ritzy neighborhood for a history of Millionaire's Row. We also find a creative solution to affordable housing, investigate cakes the shape of race cars, and review two mysterious films now on DVD.

In the early 20th century, few streets in Seattle better reflected the new–found wealth of the booming metropolis than 14th Avenue East on Capitol Hill — home to business titans, stately mansions, and the grand entry to Volunteer Park. MOHAI Director Leonard Garfield takes us for a walk on the avenue known immodestly as "Millionaires' Row."
