A Conversation with Author Robert Fulghum

In his new book, author Robert Fulghum recalls a friend who often waves and smiles at strangers. Fulghum writes, "More often than not, they wave and smile back. Or ask, 'Do I know you?' and he responds, 'No, but you could.' The contact is brief, wordless, hopeful. True, if you do these kinds of things, you risk something. People might think you are simple minded. That is a good thing."

It is just this sort of keen, specific observation that has made Fulghum's writing so memorable and accessible to readers throughout the years. He joins us in our studio to talk about the little things that make up living.

Plus, the Weekend Weather forecast with Cliff Mass.

Robert Fulghum is the bestselling author of All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten and numerous other books. His new book is What on Earth Have I Done? Stories, Observations and Affirmations.
Cliff Mass is a UW Atmospheric Scientist.
