Legislative Preview 2008

Washington's legislature convenes on Monday, January 14 for a short, two month session. On the agenda: sex offenders, the 520 bridge, an unpaid family leave mandate, ferries, and floods. In this election year, Governor Chris Gregoire has made clear to fellow Democrats she expects to keep the reigns on the budget. We get a preview from the legislative leaders this hour.
