The writers strike has been hard on television viewers, but harder still on television critics. Today, local critic Melanie McFarland tells us what has been keeping her busy these past weeks. We also dive into Seattle roller derby and meet the invisible record producer.

Working in such a high profile role, Terry Date explains why it's his job to be invisible.

Sometimes, you have to stand out to fit in. The people around you can help define your life, but you still need to develop a unique sense of self. Jennifer Warnick, also known as "Shovey Chase," left one community for another when she gave up Mormonism and joined Seattle's Rat City Roller Girls. She's featured in the new documentary "Blood on the Flat Tracks." Today, Jennifer tells us how the rowdy sport of roller derby redefined her sense of belonging.
