At 2:50 p.m. – Willow Wilson (Archive from 2/8/08)
In the Koran, there's a passage that speaks of a "veil between heaven and earth." It means that even in the everyday, there's a possibility of spiritual transcendence. G. Willow Wilson has experienced this veil between heaven and earth throughout her life; it's part of the reason she converted to Islam. And it's part of the reason she moved to Cairo after college. As a new transplant to Seattle, Willow says the spiritual veil is evident here, too.
