Is It Possible For Bicyclists and Drivers (and Pedestrians) to Get Along?

Last Friday's fight between a motorist and Critical Mass bike protesters has led to a community conversation on how we get along when we use the roads. Is it possible for bicyclists and cars to share? Or does urban design make it impossible? How do we make it better? Some believe bicyclists hold the moral high ground on transportation issues because they're more vulnerable to injury than drivers. Do you think that's true? And what about pedestrians?
