Overtime In Olympia: The Washington legislature appears to be headed into overtime. Lawmakers say it's unlikely they'll finish their business by today's midnight deadline. That means a special session will be necessary at a cost to taxpayers. KUOW's Austin Jenkins gives us the scoop.

Litter Cleanup In The Puget Sound: The floor of the Puget Sound is littered with abandoned debris from the fishing industry — abandoned nets, forsaken crab pots and other derelict gear that inadvertently traps and kills animals. We talk to a local group that's cleaning it up.

Honor In The Stacks: Drum roll, please! The Ulrich's Serials Librarianship Award has been announced, and a University of Washington cataloger is taking home the honors. We'll talk to the winner about his work and how technology is changing the very idea of libraries.
