Is being single as good as being in a couple, or sometimes even better? Today on The Conversation - single by choice.

There are 43 million single women in this country, about 40% of all adult females. Sociologists say the growing percentage of single women is a huge change. And many of them are single by choice. Once an unmarried women over 30 was labeled a spinster. There is more acceptance of the state of being single, some people even celebrate their single status with ceremonies, but is it still considered to be a lesser life? Is it our nature to pair up? Can all our needs be met by being single? Is being single as good as being in a couple, or sometimes even better? What do you think?
