Bashir left his house when he was six years old. He never dreamed he'd return as a stranger. Dalia's parents fled Bulgaria with her when she was a baby. In her nightmares, Nazis followed her to Israel and chased her into alleyways. Dalia grew up in the house Bashir, a Palestinian, fled. Documentarian Sandy Tolan tells the story of their remarkable dialogue in "The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East." He spoke at University Temple United Methodist Church on July 13, 2006. University Book Store co–sponsored the event.
