Ask Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn

Marcie Sillman
11/08/2010 at 10:00 a.m.

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn joins us in the studio to talk about the budget, election results, and relations between the city and the state. The midterm elections are behind us, and King County's proposed sales tax increase failed. How will this affect Seattle's budget? Plus, squabbles over the Alaskan Way Viaduct replacement continue, with Mayor McGinn on one side and lawmakers in Olympia on the other. The mayor says he doesn't trust the governor to do the right thing. Why not? We'll also get the latest on the plan to create a permanent homeless camp on city land, and hear about the mayor's plan to sell ads and naming rights on city property to bring in some much–needed cash.
