Osama Bin Laden: The Strategist

Steve Scher
02/22/2011 at 9:00 a.m.

Commentators feared the rise of the Islamic Brotherhood following the revolt in Egypt and another wave of terrorist attacks across the world. Is Osama bin Laden lurking in the shadows, waiting to turn the democratic movement towards a theocratic autocracy? Michael Scheuer was the first head of the CIA's bin Laden unit. On his blog he wrote that Osama bin Laden is doing the "happy dance" over events in Egypt and that soon "Muslim Egyptians will be reaching for Allah's rope, not Facebook's self–deification." KUOW's Steve Scher talks with Michael Scheuer about Osama bin Laden.
