Gay History In California: Governor Jerry Brown signed the first bill in the country to include gay history in a state social studies curriculum.

Border Harassment? Some Seattle–area Muslims claim discrimination and harassment at Canadian border crossings has worsened in the past few years. They plan to protest this Sunday at the Peace Arch in Blaine. KUOW's Liz Jones reports.

Pirates Charged In Killings Of Seattle Sailors: Virginia has formally charged three Somali men in the murders of two Seattle sailors earlier this year. The Somalis face charges of kidnapping and hostage taking related to the hijacking of the yacht, Quest.
