Tacoma Shuts Down Medical Marijuana Shops: As Seattle's mayor signs a new law registering medical marijuana clinics, Tacoma police are cracking down on facilities there. We'll hear from the mayor of Tacoma, Marilyn Strickland.

Medical Patents For Popular Drugs Expire: Patents on 7 of the 20 top–selling prescription drugs are set to expire. That means millions of Americans are about to pay a lot less money because of competition from generic drug makers. We talk to University of Washington pharmacy professor John Horn.

The Canoe Journey: This week thousands of American Indians converge on the Swinomish Reservation, 80 miles north of Seattle, to travel by canoe along the water routes which connected them for thousands of years. Ashley Ahearn reports on the canoe journey.
