Aaron Grad: The Father Book
It's easy to get distracted in life and become disconnected from the things that are most important to us. That's Aaron Grad's story over the last decade or so. Aaron is a 31–year–old composer who lives in Seattle. 10 years ago, he was just out of college and uncertain about the musical path he wanted to pursue. Aaron's music was being played by high–profile classical artists across the country, but classically–based pieces took Aaron away from the world of the guitar, improvisation and experimentation. Aaron found his way back to the guitar, and to a new sound and style as a composer, through an old family heirloom. We'll hear how a clavichord, built by Aaron's father from a hobbyist's kit, became a source of new inspiration. Aaron Grad speaks with KUOW's Dave Beck.
