Siddhartha Mukherjee: A Biography Of Cancer

The story of cancer stretches out over 4,000 years. Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee tells that story by focusing on the science and also on the people — doctors, researchers, patients and their families.
Mukherjee is a cancer physician and researcher. He is an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University and a staff cancer physician at Columbia University Medical Center. A Rhodes scholar, he has degrees from Stanford University, University of Oxford and Harvard Medical School. He has published articles in Nature, The New England Journal of Medicine, The New York Times and The New Republic.
Mukherjee spoke at Town Hall in Seattle on January 12, 2011, about his book, "The Emperor of All Maladies."
