Paula Poundstone: Comedian Paula Poundstone is widely known for her extemporaneous stand–up routines and being a guest panelist on NPR's "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me." She has been offering up her opinions and advice on a wide range of topics — from "politics to pop tarts" — since her start in comedy in the late 1970s. Paula joins us to bat around the news of the day with Steve Scher ahead of her performance at Seattle's Moore Theatre.

Radio Retrospective — "Escape:" We take a look back at the show "Escape" from Radio's Golden Age. The West Coast–based show let listeners escape from "the everyday routine," and featured stories ranging from science fiction to horror.

Paula Poundstone is a comedian and a frequent guest panelist on NPR's "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me." She is the author of the book "There's Nothing In This Book That I Meant To Say" and she has contributed to Mother Jones, The Los Angeles Times and Glamour magazine. Her career has earned her an Emmy and the American Comedy Awards' Best Female Stand–Up award.
