Dave Meinert On Liquor Board Rejection Of Extended Bar Hours For Seattle: This morning, the Liquor Control Board decided against a proposal to extend Seattle's bar hours. We hear from Dave Meinert, nightlife promoter and advocate for later bar hours, with his response to the decision.

Bellingham Airport Booming: Unlike most businesses in a down economy, Bellingham's airport has enjoyed at least 30 percent annual growth for the past five years. Most of the passengers are now Canadians, who often drive right past Vancouver International Airport to catch cheap flights. But rural neighbors of the formerly sleepy airport aren't happy with the booming cross–border business. KUOW's John Ryan has the story.

Ocean Acidification In The Northwest The ocean absorbs a large portion of the carbon dioxide that we release into the atmosphere. But when it gets there, that carbon dioxide makes the water more acidic and less hospitable for some creatures, like shellfish. Ocean acidification has scientists and policymakers in the Northwest concerned. KUOW's Ashley Ahearn reports.
