Should Seattle Police Officers Go To Trial? A federal judge said he expects to rule "late next week" on whether a civil lawsuit against Seattle police officers will go to trial. The episode is one that Department of Justice investigators found troubling in their own study of Seattle police. KUOW's Amy Radil reports.

Tackling Water Pollution One Creek At A Time: Many small waterways in our region have problems with fecal coliform. In some watersheds, the contamination can get so bad that officials have to close shellfish beds and post signs warning people to stay away from the water. KUOW's Ashley Ahearn reports on one success story.

The Brain Chip Cure: UW scientists are installing computer chips in patients' brains to try to reestablish lost or damaged connections. The research could help quadriplegics and people with Parkinson's. The director of the Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering at the University of Washington joins us.
