Travel Writer Crai Bower: Rafting On Pacific Northwest Rivers

When you drive around the state of Washington, you see all sorts of rivers. Some of them are creeks that meander slowly, some of them roar along pretty swiftly. Seattle travel writer Crai Bower says you really haven't experienced those rivers unless you've been on one in a raft. Some of these rafting trips are just a couple of hours away. Crai recommends rafting around the town of Leavenworth on Icicle Creek in Central Washington. He also recommends the Elaho River in British Columbia for an extraordinary perspective on Pacific Northwest wildlife and wilderness. Crai Bower speaks with KUOW's Dave Beck.
