'No Pictures Please:' The major party political conventions get underway this week when the GOP arrives in Tampa. The Democrats gather in Charlotte, North Carolina the following week. The conventions bring thousands of photographers and reporters into contact with the police, creating tension between free speech and security. What rights do photographers have at public gatherings? When can police interfere with a press photographer's job? We'll talk to the general counsel for the National Press Photographers Association Mickey Osterreicher.

Russell Wilson Wins Starting QB Spot: Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson will start at quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks in their first regular season game. Coach Pete Carroll made the announcement Sunday evening. The decision ends a wide–open competition that began in training camp and continued into the pre–season. Wilson beat out Matt Flynn and last year's starter Tarvaris Jackson. Flynn — who the Seahawks signed to a three–year, $26–million contract in March — will serve as backup.

The Buzz Around The Water Cooler: The GOP convention is starting. Will you be watching? Bumbershoot is next weekend. Are you going? Also, from Phyllis Diller to Tina Fey, why do so many female comedians pretend they aren't good looking? Are pretty girls not considered funny? These stories and more as we gather around the virtual radio water cooler to discuss the buzz of the day.
