Food: Why Americans Waste So Much And Ways To Stop

Study Finds Americans Waste Almost Half Their Food: A new study by the Natural Resources Defense Council finds Americans waste or throw away 40 percent of their food each year. That means the average person wastes 20 pounds of food every month. We'll talk with NRDC's Dana Gunders about the environmental implications of tossing so much food and what it means to the many that go hungry while food is being thrown away.
