At 2:05pm - Hans Wolf
Conductor, chorus-master, educator, commentator and vocal coach Hans Wolf is a much-revered member of the Puget Sound classical music scene. He first took up conducting while serving with the US Military in World War 2. Since 1969 Hans Wolf has been conducting and producing opera, creating regional opera companies, discovering new singing talent and sharing his enthusiasm for the vocals arts with audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest. He co-founded Tacoma Opera, worked as chorus master for Seattle Opera and for the last several years has devoted his artistic energies to an art form that the Hamburg, Germany native first discovered as a teenager during the 1920's. The comedy, choreography, tuneful melodies and bouncy rhythms of operetta are all part of Hans Wolf's latest production, a rare revival of Franz Lehar's 1909 "The Count of Luxembourg."
